Well I can officially say we have finally adjusted to being here in San Diego. Yes it has taken us a while. The people here are different from Connecticut and it is really hard to "warm up" to most people. The girls have found friends in the neighborhood so that makes me extremely happy, it is not the same as what we had in Groton, but in the time being, I will take what I can get. George is back on sea duty which means he is never home, no this is not a "please feel sorry for me" plea, and we have actually adjusted quite well. I feel that it is my duty to be a strong independent wife/mommy in order for us to thrive successfully. Now I am not saying this is easy by all means, but if I am positive and independent it will make my girls positive and independent as well.
I finally took the plunge for furthering my education. I applied to Grad school and I am going for a Masters degree in Information Assurance. As many of you know this was a HUGE step for me. I was really intimidated by my decision. I came up with a saying to motivate myself "if you let fear get in your way you will accomplish nothing". So far the classes seem to be interesting, and I hope to gain a lot more knowledge in the IT field so I can go back to work soon.
